Cancellations

The Dermatologists generally have waiting lists for appointments and as a courtesy to other patients, request that you provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellation or change of appointment so that we may offer your appointment to other waiting patients. As such, there maybe a $100 cancellation fee for not notifying reception by telephone of inability to attend with 24 hours notice.

Professional fees

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by Eftpos, Mastercard or Visa.

The cost of providing specialist medical services is high so usually the Dermatologists do not Bulk Bill, however, that decision is up to your treating Dermatologist. An initial consultation fee will be quoted when you book your appointment.

Skin biopsy, freezing and removal of a skin cancer or mole will incur additional charges.

Fees for consultations, surgical procedures, and treatments are determined by the dermatologist you choose to see.

All fees are subject to change and variation, dependent on the complexity of treatment, complications encountered, or at the discretion of the dermatologist.

During your consultation, you may ask your dermatologist for a financial estimate detailing the cost of any surgical procedure or treatment before it is performed.

A Medicare claim will be lodged electronically after payment is taken. Medicare shall then deposit the rebate to the bank account you have previously provided to them. The rebate you receive is determined by medicare and the Medicare Safety Net

The Dermatologist may give a discount to Aged Pension card holders. However, this is determined by your treating Dermatologist.

Veterans and their widows or dependants who hold a DVA Gold Card will have their account sent directly to DVA and will not incur any additional charges.
