What is a Dermatologist?

Dermatologists are qualified Medical Specialists who are experts in the diagnosis and treatment and prevention of skin cancers and all diseases of the skin, hair and nail.

All of our highly skilled and experienced dermatologists treat patients of all ages, from babies and children to adolescence and adults.

It takes a minimum of 11 years medical training to become a Dermatologist.

Meet Our Dermatologists

Our dermatologists are held in high regard and are frequently referred patients from other dermatologists and specialists for a second opinion.

On an average day any one of our dermatologists finds 10 to 20 skin cancers which may have otherwise gone undiagnosed.

All of our dermatologists are highly skilled and experienced in the detection and treatment of cancer and melanoma, and in the accurate diagnosis and management of diseases of the skin, hair and nail.

  • Two of my teenagers have been under the care of Dr Stapleton who I have found to be knowledgeable and highly proficient. She is fantastic with teenagers, listens to their concerns and clearly explains procedures. I would not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends.

  • My car broke down as I was coming to my appointment with Dr. Karen Stapleton. I was devastated as I had been waiting months for it and knew I would miss it. Not only were the team and staff totally understanding and supportive. Dr Stapleton took some time out from her busy day to see me, giving me her full attention and explaining things to me thoroughly. Something I have not had from other dermatologists. She is very approachable, professional and knowledgeable. I highly highly recommend her and the team at Drummoyne Dermatology.
